This shot has been my main job for the past few months, I hope you enjoy it. Almost all the work was made in After Effects and Element 3D, but I've used a lot of other softwares and stuff for doing this, so, if someone wanna know, this is the list:

Adobe:
- After Effects CS6 (for almost everything)
- Photoshop CS4 (for making textures)
- Premiere Pro CS4 (for the sound editing only)

Video Copilot:
- Element 3D v1.0.345
- Optical Flares v1.2.132
- Action Essentials 2
- Pro Scores
- Designer Sound FX
- Real Clouds
- Some other free content, like their HD Particles.

Pixologic:
- Zbrush 4R4 (for create, edit and/or paint 3D models)

Autodesk:
- 3ds Max 2011 (for editing some models only)

Turbosquid:
- Some free models (modified later in Zbrush and 3ds Max).

The original footage was filmed with a Canon 5D and a 50mm lens.

New York Biotopes

New York Biotopes, made by Lena Steinkühler, deals with abstract plants and creatures, which change their forms because of insufficient living space and adapt themselves to the surroundings of the metropolis New York City. A type of metamorphosis, where the newly developed vegetation assimilates elements of the city and makes them useful for their own purposes.

They Are The Last

Leonardo Da Costa is a lighthouse keeper stationed in Cabo Polonio, a remote cape in a stretch of Uruguayan coastline rich in shipwrecks and sunken treasures. Cabo Polonio’s light has been guiding ships since 1881, and Da Costa is the latest in a long line of watchmen who have operated the tower with care and attention. He leads an unassuming life, the tranquility of the almost intact landscape keeping him company. Serenity and silence merge with the daily tasks and chores he carries out. Da Costa represents a rare profession that still survives in a few countries.Take some time to appreciate a gentle and enlightening way of life, for once it is gone, it will be missed.
